Prof. Dr. Andreas Rausch is the head of the chair for Software Systems Engineering at the Clausthal University of Technology. Until early 2007 he was head of the chair for Software Architecture at the University of Kaiserslautern.
In 2001 he obtained his doctorate at the University of Munich under Prof. Dr. Manfred Broy. His research in the field of software engineering focuses on software architecture, model-based software engineering and process models, with more than 70 publications worldwide.
Prof. Dr. Andreas Rausch is project leader for the development of the new V-Modell XT, the standard system development process model for IT systems of the Federal Republic of Germany. In addition to his research activities he participated in various commercial software projects developing large distributed systems. He is one of the four founders and shareholders of the software and consulting company 4Soft GmbH, Munich.
